Rosetta Sanders Stafford Harris (abt. 1882 – Dec. 22, 1954)
According to a family source, she was born in Kilmichael, MS and her mother passed when she was a child, so she was raised by her grandmother. We are still looking for information as to the names of her mother and grandparents. She eventually moved to Arkansas where she met her future husband, the widower Jordan V. Stafford.
She united in matrimony with Jordan Virgil Stafford around 1898 in Arkansas. They resided in Scott, Poinsett County, Arkansas, and to their union six children were born. They are Elmer Elizabeth (1899-1979); Elsie Robelia (1901-1996); Evelyn Olivia (1903-1986); triplets, Johnny Virgil (1907-1988), Lonny (1907-1907) and Donny (1907-1908). Jordan Stafford transitioned in 1908.
Sometime between 1908 and 1910. she married the widower, General Jackson Harris (1864-1931). They resided in the cities of Coldwater and Tyronza in Cross County, Arkansas, and to their union seven children were born. They are William Otto (1911-1981); George Archie (1913-1983); Martha (1916-2001); twins Arzola (1917) and Robert Arzo (1917-1927); Beaulah Mae (1919); and James Jackson (1922-1972). General J.
