(abt. 1865 – Sep. 13, 1931 According to the 1920 and 1930 US Census, General J. Harris was born about 1865 in Mississippi. Presently, only one child can be accounted for from his previous marriage; that of Andrew born in 1902.
The widower, General Jackson Harris married the widow, Rosetta Sanders Stafford. They resided in the cities of Coldwater and Tyronza in Cross County, Arkansas, and to their union seven children were born. They are William Otto (1911-1981); George Archie (1913-1983); Martha (1916-2001); twins Arzola Harris (1917) and Robert Arzo (1917-1927); Beaulah Mae (1919); and James Jackson (1922-1972).
